You know that I’m the type a guy, that when I die, They’ll name a drink for me at my local dive, A whiskey and water with a banquet beer, And when my friends order one they’ll wish that I was here. Pull up a stool at my local bar, Call over the tender tell em one Flagstar. I wanna signature drink (a signature drink) And if that drink’s what did me in, just add ruin to the end of my Signature drink (Flagstar’s) Signature Drink (Ruin) And if that drink should bare my name, won’t y’all all just please explain It’s my signature drink (Flagstar’s) My signature Drink (Ruin) I wanna Signature Drink (Signature Drink) And if that drink’s what does me in, I hope that’s how your night begins, With my Signature Drink (Flagstar’s) Signature Drink (Ruin)

The Ride 02:40
The Moon Is shinin’ bright Castin’ it’s bluish light On this Autumn night. The Moon Is bold and bright And I feel alright On this perfect night. I look up to the sky And that’s all I need I ain’t got no gods Keepin’ me in my knees And I ain’t got no questions ‘bout eternity And I don’t need no faith to know what I believe. The Moon is shinin’ bright Castin’ it’s bluish light On this autumn night The Moon Is bold and bright And I feel alright On this perfect night. I done told you hundred times to look to the stars I done told you hundred times you’ll see right where you are I done told you hundred times how I feel inside That it’s not the destination it’s the ride.

Two bad bitches in my bat mobile. Black toothed grin, I’m the devil at the wheel. Chewin’ on teeth and suckin’ down slugs. Crawlin’ through the streets tryin’ to score free drugs. Lookin’ for a junkie with a needle in his arm. Trick him into treatin’ gonna cause a little harm. Throw him in the trunk, put a bag in his head. Before we finish up he’ll be wishin’ he was dead. Throw him on a wall, put a nail in his chest. Spin him up around, let the ladies do the rest. Razors in their mouths and wings on their backs. Rippin’ and a tearin’ with a splatter and a crack.

Well I’m watchin’ a grey squirrel leap and prance, And watchin’ a mocking bird’s mating dance. Morning cigarette and a cup of joe And thinkin’ ‘bout every bit of last night’s show. Pickin’ up junior from Grandma’s place, I watch him light up when he sees my face. Then back to the club is where I go To pick up the gear from last night’s show. If you wanna know about last night’s show, Just ask the kids that love the Rock N’ Roll. By this afternoon, we’ll be on the road. Headin’ out of town, to play tomorrow’s last night’s show. Bloody Mary please and a tall glass of water, Eight ibuprofen ought to get me started. Forgot to pay my tab when it was time to go but, They won’t hold me to it after last night’s show. If you wanna know, About the Rock N’ Roll, Just ask the kids from last night’s show, By this afternoon, we’ll be on the road, Headin’ outta town to play tomorrow’s last night’s show.

I like when the 31st is a Saturday, And I like all my fancier suits to be grey. I like when things stay the same, I don’t like change. The A.M.E.R.I.C.A.N. Way. Stand and say the pledge my teacher says to say, Been told what to believe in since my very first day. I like when things stay the same, I don’t like change. The A.M.E.R.I.C.A.N. Way.

Assistance 02:41
She was pregnant before she left high school. Then again with another man’s child. Then after four years on welfare, she decided that she’d get a job. But someone said, “This one’s a starter,” And “she don’t deserve to get paid”, Enough to feed her little babies. So she spent everything that she made, On bills and on food and on rent, But it wasn’t enough to get by, So she had to go back on assistance, So her two little girls could survive. Now her mom’s got ‘em Tuesday through Friday, ‘Cause her boss cut her hours at work, So he wouldn’t have to pay healthcare, Like it’s some kinda luxury perk. So she had to move into her daddy’s Four room trailer to save on the rent. But every damn dime she held onto, Paid for his medical equipment. So the years went by, And the girls grew up, And they grew more expensive too, She started thinkin’ ‘bout a bullet and a gun, And the terrible thing she might do. But then it was her oldest daughter’s Sophomore year of High School, And they found our she was pregnant.

Old Oak Root 01:11
Well I was tryna’ dig a hole, But there’s an old oak root. It’s thick and hard and gnarly, And I can’t bust through With this everlovin’ shovel, It’s dull and gives me trouble, So the boss man brought me a shovel that’s new. Well I’m diggin’ up holes for the government, I’m pluggin’ out dirt ‘cause my money’s all spent. I’m diggin’ out holes for the T.V.A. ‘Cause my paycheck’s gone and the bill’s still ain’t been paid. Well I pick up my file, and I sharpen it up, It’s a lean, mean machine, and it’s ready to cut Through oak roots and pine roots and soil of the Earth, So I pick up my shovel, and I go back to work. Well I’m diggin’ up holes for the government, I’m pluggin’ out dirt, ‘cause my money’s all spent. I’m diggin’ out holes for the T.V.A. ‘Cause my paycheck’s gone, And the bill’s still ain’t been paid.

Little young thing, Won’t you come around. My little young thing, I’ll meet you downtown. I said let big daddy teach you, Somethin’ ‘bout goin’ down. My little you thing, In that crop-top shirt. It’s gonna feel good girl, but I can’t promise that it ain’t gonna hurt (Just a little bit baby) When I start drillin’ on you, mama, you gonna lose that skirt. She rolls her hips round like a couple dually wheels. I love to hear my little young thing squeal. Young thing, won’t you come around. I said let big daddy teach you somethin’ ‘bout goin’ down. Little young thing, won’t you come around. My little young thing, I’ll meet you downtown. I said let big daddy teach you somethin’ ‘bout goin’ down. (It’s the shit!)

Space Ace 03:51
What you buildin’ in there dad? Our garage is kinda full. What’s with all the old car parts and flashin’ lights? And what’s with all the welding tools? What you buildin’ in there dad? And what’s with all the noise? And daddy, what’s with all the rocket fuel? Interstellar hot rod built for two, Travelin’ through space just me and you. Interstellar hot rod wins the race, Searchin’ every galaxy to find our place. And if and asteroid comes near, don’t afraid, my son. We’ll shift it into hyper gear, ‘cause your adventure’s just begun. Set the destination for a mountain on Mars, In our interstellar, rocket-powered, hot rod car. Nothin’ can stop us, you and me. There’s a whole universe for you to see. Just me and you. Just you and me. My son.

Demons 04:22
My baby comes from a long line of good country people, Standin’ in the shadow of a tall white steeple. Baptists, Methodists, and Presbyterians At the revival meetin’ in the hot summer sun. Her granny was a back-woods, faith healin’ woman, You had a case or warts or somethin’ she’s sure cure ‘em, Or a bad back problem, You better go see her, Hallelujah, she’s got the cure. Well, she’d make a concoction outta holy water, Put it on your head and start to holler, Mix a Hail Mary with a Billy Graham scream, Cast out that demon, now you are clean. We all got demons We all got demons, whether in our soul, Or is it in the back beat of this Rock And Roll, Is it on my heels, Is it givin’ chase? Or can you see the demon when you look at my face? Well my own kinfolk was another good lot. They worked real hard for everything they got. They got faith in Jesus and the Holy Bible, Raised to know all about the wonder-working power. My granny had a heart like a great cathedral. Never cared about herself as much as other people. If you ever needed anything, at all. Hallelujah, she’s answer the call. But mixed signals is all I got. My baby’s so good, And I’m just not, Just goes to show, No matter where you from. You may never beat your Demons. We all got demons, We all got demons, whether in our soul, Or is it in the back beat of this Rock And Roll, Is it on my heels, Is it givin’ chase? Or can you see the demon when you look at my face? We all got demons.
